In Clan Control Mod, you can play as the leader of a clan or party, directly controlling any member of your clan or party. They can take over as party leaders in addition to, or even in place of, your character. This mod will allow you to do all of that without having to leave the game.
If you are looking for a smooth and balanced experience, then this is your mod.

A few things to keep in mind:
You can't switch to a new character while you are in battle. You can only switch to a new character when you are not in battle.
The gold totals of your characters, if you are upgrading from version 1.0, will be set to the party leader's (likely your beginning character's) gold total when you switch to them.
